How to Get Rid of Acne

How to get rid of acne? Acne has always been a common problem in teenagers and now becoming a common problem in many adults. In fact, over 60 million americans now suffer from acne.

Dealing with acne can be quite frustrating, especially if you have tried everything from oral to topical medication, expensive face washes, and even harsh chemical peels. Isolaz, the acne light treatment revolusionized how acne can now be treated. Isolaz, an acne treatment available in Philadelphia at Jardin Medical Spa combines a vacuum and a painless broadband light to deeply cleanse ad purify your pores from he inside out.

Isolaz is not a one time treatment. You will typically need 6 treatments, one week spaced apart to thoroughly clean your pores. The vacuum acts as a plunger and pulls dirt and oil out to the surface of the skin, the broadband light then kills off the bacteria sitting in the sebaceous gands. With each visit, you will see clearer skin. Patients are recommended to stay on a maintennce program to keep their acne under control. This maintenance program varies from patient to patient, depending on the severity of their acne and breakouts.

Isolaz is also used to shrink pore size, and reduce oil production leaving your skin less oily and clearer and cleaner looking.

For more information on Isolaz, please visit www.jardinmedical.com. To see if you are a candidate for Isolaz, please call 484-562-0591 to speak to someone about scheduling a complimentary consultation.

How to Get Rid of Stretch Marks

Men and women both experience stretch marks. They are embarrassing and hard to get rid of, or so we think. With today's medical technology, stretch marks can actually be a thing in the past. Stretch marks result from skin that has been overstretched. It can be overstretched from pregnancy, body building, and extreme weight gain. They can be found anywhere on the body, but most commonly abdomen, breasts, buttocks, legs and upper arms.

The Fraxel laser, a non ablative laser can now reduce, if not eliminate the appearance of stretch marks. The fresher and newer stretch marks are (typically less than 5 years) the better the results. This does not mean that older stretch marks cannot be treated. You will see a reduction, however the results are not the same as the fresh new ones.

Fraxel gently kills off damaged tissue and leaving you with soft smooth skin. It works by creating tiny wounds deep in the skin This triggers the body´s natural healing process to remodel collagen and replace damaged tissue with younger, smoother, healthier skin. And since Fraxel is a fractionated laser, it only treats a fraction of your skin ata time leaving the surrounding tissue intact and therefore helping your skin heal much faster. Results are beautiful smooth skin with no downtime (except with some redness and downtime). For more information or if you would like to schedule a complimentary consultation to see if Fraxel can help with your stretch marks, call Jardin Medical Spa at 484-562-0591 or visit www.jardinmedical.com, a leader in fraxel philadelphia.

Melasma Treatment and Photos

Melasma is a common skin disorder, known as "mask of pregnancy". Women see dark facial pigmentation on their cheeks, lips, nose, and forehead. The discoloration can vary in color intensity and does vary from person to person. Melasma is more common in Asians, Hispanics, Arabs, and North Africans. The cause is not really known but it is linked to melanin production. The amount of melanin produced is dependant on several factors, including; heredity, exposure to sun, birth control pills, and certain medications (such as Tetracyline).

Women with melasma often feel extremely frustrated because nothing seems to work for them. But the truth is, melasma can be controlled very nicely with the help of a medical spa. There are a few options to getting that pigmentation under control and minimizing the darkness on the skin. These options include chemical peels (TCA, glycolic, azaleic, kojic and more), skin lightening agents (hydroquinone and other pure botanicals), sunscreens (mineral based zinc and titanium), and lasers such as fraxel.

Women with melasma need to schedule consultations to see which option or options will work best for them. Typically after any treatment, you will need to continue on a skin lightening agent and incorporate that into your everyday skin care routine. Jardin Medical Spa, located 10 minutes from Philadelphia can help and give you that beautiful skin back. For more information on the chemical peels, lasers, and at home skin care products, please visit our website at www.jardinmedical.com.

The Fraxel laser at Jardin Medical Spa is designed to target your acne scars by treating thousands of microscopic areas of the skin. It uses a pinpoint laser beam to penetrate the skins surface and turn cells over leaving you with smooth, soft healthy skin. To eliminate and reduce most of your scarring, you will typically need about 4-5 treatments. Expect to be red with mild swelling for a day or two depending on how aggressive the treatment is. Does Thermage work and is it really worth it?

Thermage, the Gold Standard for skin tightening does have its limitations. In my opinion, and being a Thermage Center of Excellence, I think Thermage does a phenomenal job at tightening the skin from head to toe. You do have to be a candidate for the treatment. You cannot have excessively loose skin because there are limitations to non-surgical procedures. You can Thermage your eyes, face, arms, tummy, legs, knees, buttocks and more. Thermage is also used to reduce the appearance of cellulite. It will not however make your cellulite disappear. Patient expectation is very important and should be realistic. All these questions and concerns are answered at any consultation. Visit www.jardinmedical.com for more information.
